ika Lahi International Gamefishing Lodge
"Ika Lahi" translated, means "Big Fish - Many Fish" and you will not be disappointed with the World Class Fishing that abounds in Vava'u, Tonga's crystal clear waters.
Tonga Vava'u's fishery offers "YEAR ROUND" Billfish with 5 species: Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped marlin, Sailfish and Short billed spearfish.The deep water drop offs and Sea Mounts also hold Broadbill (Swordfish).
Pelagic species include Yellow Fin Tuna, Dog Tooth Tuna, Mahimahi, Wahoo, Giant Trevally and a host of other IGFA reef species such as Coral Trout.
Tonga currently holds two Pacific Sailfish record line classes:
1. 24kg line class Male 95.5kg (largest sailfish caught in the world since 1947)
2. Small fry Male 55.0kg
Ika Lahi Lodge Tonga is situated inside the protected waters of Hunga Lagoon, an outer island haven just
35 minutes boat trip from Vava'u township.
The facilities include 2 game fishing boats, quality accommodation, waterfront restaurant and bar.
The Tonga location is simply stunning and is the premium fishing base being the closest to the 1,000 metre fishing grounds - a mere 10 minute troll form the lagoon entrance.
